CampusParc, The Ohio State University’s parking concession manager, and the Wexner Center for the Arts, Ohio State's multidisciplinary, international laboratory for exploring and advancing contemporary art, today announced a continued strategic partnership to remove parking access barriers. With the agreement, center attendees will receive validations providing a discounted parking rate of two dollars for events there.
CampusParc strives to ensure the parking and mobility system works for all their Ohio State colleagues and constituents, while the center is focused on removing barriers to access so that more and more visitors can enjoy one of central Ohio’s premier art institutions. Parking cost is one of those barriers for Wex attendees, and CampusParc is committed to supporting the university community's priorities and interests.
In 2021, CampusParc and the Wex began their partnership by making a compelling business case to offer reduced parking for all events held at the center. After an initial pilot period, the program is reinstated for the next three years. Attendees for exhibitions, films, concerts and other performances, and a variety of special events can receive parking validation at the center's Visitor Experience desk.
“We recognize that paying for parking can often be a barrier to customer attendance, and where we can find opportunities to discount parking rates, we are willing to do so,” said Sarah Blouch, CEO of CampusParc.
“We’re excited to continue our partnership with CampusParc to offer a significant discount for event parking,” notes Jared Riley, the Wex’s director of advancement operations. ”It’s an important extension of center-wide efforts to make engaging with the Wex easier, working in tandem with initiatives such as free admission to the galleries and all talks, the option of low-cost access tickets for performing arts events, and free offsite programs created with community partners such as Linden and Schiller Community Centers.”
CampusParc manages one of the largest parking systems in the nation at The Ohio State University and is responsible for overseeing all parking assets, including maintenance and operation of the parking facilities. CampusParc shares a long-term commitment with Ohio State to maintain a seamless mobility system that is effective, safe and flexible, and aligns with the university’s vision as the model 21st century public institution.
