10 Girls/10 Weeks:
A Pens to Pictures Screenwriting Boot Camp

For Emerging Women Writers with Chinonye Chukwu

CLASSES: 2-5 PM every Sunday

Sept 24, 2017–Nov 19, 2017

Pens to Pictures is an intensive screenwriting workshop created and led by filmmaker Chinonye Chukwu with its own radical story—to be explored at our forthcoming Director’s Dialogue. For 10 Girls/10 Weeks, Chukwu is adapting her college-level program to create a small-group workshop designed for younger aspiring writers and filmmakers ages 12–18.

Each participant in 10 Girls/10 Weeks will complete a script for a short film, enjoy local research trips, meet professionals in the field, analyze films together, and engage in lots of writing and editing. The workshop will culminate in a private reception for family and friends that features readings of the new scripts by a professional local actor.

Now through November 30, we’re conducting a Buckeye Funder crowdfunding campaign for 10 Girls/10 Weeks. Your donations help support the girls as they finish their own screenplays during this unique workshop. Click here to learn more and contribute. Thank you!
