Are you eco-conscious and interested in contemporary art? Are you in 11th or 12th grade--and ready to experience college-level course content on campus at The Ohio State University? Then think about coming to the Wexner Center on Wednesday afternoons from January 20 to June 2, 2010, to explore contemporary art and see how artists, scientists, and activists are working to protect our natural environment. Students meet and interview contemporary artists involved in Wexner Center projects and prominent scientists at Ohio State. You also work on art projects of your own--and have a chance to exhibit them at the Wexner Center in late May/early June. The Art & Environment course is open to high school juniors and seniors from throughout the central Ohio area, and course credit is arranged with individual school systems. The course is free to those admitted and comes with transportation assistance and free books and supplies. Download an application package for the 2010 course. Check back here for more information about this year's schedule as it becomes available. Meanwhile, browse through the Art & Environment blog, to get a sense of what the course can be like.
