Thu, Mar 27, 2014 9:30 AM

Art lovers and Brazilophiles won’t want to miss this major symposium featuring artists from the Cruzamentos exhibition and documentary film series, Brazilian and Wexner Center curators, and other notable scholars, including expert voices from Ohio State.

See the symposium schedule and list of participants below. The symposium is free and open to the public, but preregistration is suggested.

After the symposium, please join us for a screening of Eduardo Coutinho's landmark documentary Twenty Years Later, screening at 7 PM in the Film/Video Theater (tickets available here) or to explore Cruzamentos: Contemporary Art in Brazil, on view in the galleries until 8 PM (gallery admission this evening is complimentary for symposium attendees).

Via Brasil is organized by the Wexner Center for the Arts and made possible by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Lead support provided by Morgan Stanley.

Cruzamentos: A Symposium on Contemporary Art and Film in Brazil is cosponsored by Ohio State’s Center for Latin American Studies.

Special thanks to the Embassy of Brazil in Washington, DC, for its invaluable guidance and assistance in promoting Via Brasil among its many constituents.
