Hey, art lovers! Would you enjoy teaching students and community members about our cutting-edge exhibitions? Stop by and hang out with a few of the volunteers (called docents) who teach in the Wexner Center’s galleries and decide if you might want to jump on board. We’ll chat over a beer or wine (soda and water will also be available) in the café and will eventually move into the galleries for a tour of the Gray Matters exhibition.
An academic or professional background in art is not required for you to be a docent, but you should enjoy meeting people and learning new things. A somewhat flexible schedule is helpful, too, as the majority of our visiting groups stop by during the morning and early afternoon hours. A new docent-in-training class kicks off each August and continues through the fall. We especially encourage people who are bilingual, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ community to consider joining us.
Visit our volunteer page for more information about training program dates and times.
