Nathan Carter

New York-based artist Nathan Carter creates sculpture and drawing informed by a play of visual information and brightly contrasting colors that recalls sports uniforms, nautical flag design, and military regalia.

Recently included in Hans-Ulrich Obrist's 2002 exhibition Urgent Painting at the Mus»e dÌArt Moderne de la Ville de Paris, CarterÌs extravagantly titled work has been featured in group exhibitions in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria and solo exhibitions in Switzerland and his native New York.
