Ohio Shorts Youth Division Call for Entries

Get your best video ready for our annual showcase of “Ohio-made” shorts (10 mins. or less in length). Entries will be accepted beginning January 3 and must be received by 5 PM on March 23. There is no entry fee to participate.

Our jurors award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes, and viewers select the Audience Choice award at the screening (this year on April 28 at 4:30 PM). So get to work and make your voice heard: animation, drama, infomercials, music videos, remix/mash-ups, mock-u-mentary, PSAs, you name it. Don’t worry if your piece is not totally polished; we welcome rough cuts.

The 2012 Ohio Shorts screening takes place on Saturday, April 28, at 4:30 PM in the Wexner Center Film/Video Theater. Each person whose work is selected for the showcase will receive two complimentary tickets for the screening.

Entrance Guidelines
Pieces must be no longer than 10 minutes in length, and produced in Ohio within the last 18 months. Submit your video as a high resolution Quicktime or MPEG file on a DVD or flash drive. Please make sure to test the playback of your file on a Mac before submitting. Previously submitted works will not be accepted.

Entries must be accompanied by an entry form.

Artists age 19+ should enter the Ohio Shorts adult division.
