Gather up your colleagues (or family and friends) and unwind with a glass of wine and an evening at the movies, especially for teachers. You'll be treated to previews of upcoming films available for school screenings in conjunction with Zoom: Family Film Festival in early December.

We'll watch a full screening of What's on Your Plate, a documentary that follows two inquisitive 11-year-old American girls as they investigate questions about issues and activities surrounding food: farming, school lunches, distribution, ingredients, diet, health, and ultimately global politics. The film is very much informed by the girls' individual perspectives, and their unfiltered honesty and curiosity makes this a very authentic inquiry into a topic of growing relevance for all of us.

You'll also find out about additional films suitable for elementary, middle, and high school students we're screening in conjunction with the Zoom festival and about the documentary Earth Days were showing especially for high school students in November. Call (614) 292-6493 or e-mail edweb@wexarts.org to RSVP by September 28.
