Video Dance

Find out about the growing trend of using the video camera as your dance partner.

Dancer/choreographer Lindsay LaPointe is your instructor and guide as you view clips of works by video dance pioneers and learn storyboarding and shooting skills. Before long, you'll be ready to make your own dance with the camera. Each student will make video clips inspired by the works you see, imaging exercises, and site-specific outdoor shoots. Some video and/or dance experience is helpful but certainly not necessary.

Registration fees are per student per week and include materials and equipment. A limited number of scholarships are available for families requiring financial assistance. Download the scholarship application from the links below and submit it by April 12 to be considered for financial assistance.

Location
Classes meet at the Wexner Center or nearby on the Ohio State campus. We’ll let you know exactly where your workshop meets.

Changes and cancellations
Dates and times are subject to change. The Wexner Center reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment without incurring obligations. If a class is canceled, you may transfer to another class or request a tuition refund. If you withdraw from a summer workshop up to seven days before the event, you will receive a refund less a $25 non-refundable deposit. No refunds will be given after that time.
