Find out more about West African art and culture and about artist Franz West's installation at the Wexner Center Café.
Join Jacqueline Chanda, Chair of the Division of Art Education and Art History at the University of North Texas, as she takes you on a journey through West Africa to examine the cultural artifacts of this region and their influence on our everyday lives. Our excursion begins with an exploration of Austrian artist Franz West's 2Topia installation at the Wexner Center featuring 150 chairs covered with patterned fabrics based on West African prints.
OSU graduate credit is available (Art Ed 795, 01 credit). Call for details. Registration for noncredit is also available. Documentation will be provided for you to submit to your Local Professional Development Committee for possible Continuing Education Units (CEU) credit earned by attending the workshop.
This ArtStart workshop has a small fee for materials. Please note that this fee does not include OSU tuition.
