Writer's Reading Lynn Emanuel

Lynn Emanuel reads from her award-winning poetry. She's the author of three poetry collections—Then, Suddenly (1999); The Dig (1992), and Hotel Fiesta (1984)—and directs the Writing Program at the University of Pittsburgh. She's received two Pushcart Prizes, and The Dig was selected by Gerald Stern for the National Poetry Series.

Cosponsored by Ohio State's Creative Writing Program, Department of English. Emanuel's work has also been included in Best American Poetry 1995, edited by Richard Howard, and she coedited the 1994–95 volume of The Pushcart Prize Anthology with David St. John. Additional awards include two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. She is a professor of English at the University of Pittsburgh, as well as the director of that University's Writing Program.
