Childhood learning isn't complete without opportunities to think outside the books through activities including art making. To that end, we've been focused over the past several months on sharing lessons from local artists and we'll be enhancing our educational offerings with Free Space starting September 17. The Columbus Museum of Art has also been working with the city's vibrant arts community on a program to supplement a variety of learning situations. CMA's virtual Studio Workshops, held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, are 40-minute sessions available for a nominal fee. Each month's sessions are centered on a particular theme and structured to encourage creative thinking, led by local makers including Wendy Kendrick, Richard Duarte Brown, April Sunami, and Gaye Reissland. For an additional fee, the museum will also cover supply needs with Studio in a Box, which is available for individual purchase or as a three-month subscription.
