Detail from multimedia work created by artist Tomashi Jackson for the fall 2020 exhibitions at the Wexner Center for the Arts, this body of work focused on voter disenfranchisement in Ohio

Opening September 26, Tomashi Jackson: Love Rollercoaster will feature five new mixed media canvases from the artist (a sneak preview of one of them is at top of page). Jackson was inspired to create the series by the upcoming election and ongoing problems with voter disenfranchisement, particularly in Ohio. Her exhibition takes the name of the Ohio Players' number-one hit from 1976, and the Dayton-born funk band became her go-to soundtrack artist while she was making the work you'll see in the galleries.

Jackson shared a list of some of her favorite tracks while she was in the studio. We've compiled them for you below. Give a listen before or during your visit to the exhibition. And don't forget to vote on Tuesday, November 3.
