September 9, musician, visual artist, and educator Damon Locks is bringing his Black Monument Ensemble to Lincoln Theatre for a show copresented by the Wex and CAPA. His ensemble is made up of a revolving combination of Chicago-based performers with a 40-year age range and a wide variety of talents.

The playlist above highlights some terrific tracks from Damon Locks's Black Monument Ensemble, interspersed with songs featuring some of the individuals slated to join Locks at the Lincoln. They include multi-instrumentalist Angel Bat Dawid; drummer Dana Hall; and vocalists Phillip Armstrong, Monique Golding, and Tramaine Parker. It's an eclectic and vital mix of music to put you in the right space for the show ahead. Enjoy!
