In just a few days, jaimie branch will be coming to the Wex to make up a COVID-delayed date from 2020. For something to fill the time between now and the March 22 performance, we've made a playlist of tracks from branch's two FLY or DIE albums mixed with work by artists the trumpeter and composer has nodded to as influences, from Miles Davis and Willie Colón to Wu Tang Clan and Cynthia Robinson, the trumpeter in Sly and the Family Stone.
