Made for maximum fun and packed with classic new wave tracks, Rock 'n' Roll High School is one of the best-known and best-loved films to come out of New World Pictures, the studio helmed by B-movie legend Roger Corman. This Friday, March 15, we're screening a beautiful 35mm print of the film from the Academy Film Archive. For a preview of its fun vibe, check out the original theatrical trailer below.
And if you're interested in some behind-the-scenes dirt on the wreck the film could've been (for one thing, it was briefly called Disco High), enjoy this recent, expansive interview with the movie's director, Allan Arkush, on Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast.
