Have you seen Inherent Structure yet? If not, there's not much time left to do it, and you don't want to miss the latest from Senior Curator of Exhibitions Michael Goodson. Michael's brought together 16 extraordinary artists who ask us to reconsider our ideas about the form and meaning of abstract painting. The exhibition is on view through August 12, and like all our shows, it's free 4-8 PM on Thursdays and the first Sunday of the month.
The show kicked off May 16 with an insightful, warm conversation between longtime friends who currently share space on the gallery walls: Rebecca Morris, Laura Owens, and Ruth Root. Moderated by George Rush, an Associate Professor in the Painting and Drawing program of Ohio State's Department of Art, it covered subjects from process and thoughts on each other's work to stories about old roommates. Video is below. We hope you enjoy a look back, and we'll see you on Thursday, September 13 for our next artist talk: a conversation with Mickalene Thomas and Dr. Beverly Guy-Sheftall.
