The 298-seat Film/Video Theater features comfortable seating, excellent sightlines, and versatile equipment. The theater is suitable for meetings, lectures, and symposia, as well as film events. Programs in the theater can be complemented by receptions in the lower lobby and café area.
The theater is equipped to project films and videos in standard US formats and can often accommodate standard international formats (such as PAL or non-Region 1 DVDs) as well. Projection from digital media and slides is available for lectures or similar presentations.
Projection equipment includes: Dual 35mm/70mm Kinoton DP-75 projectors Dual 16mm Kinoton FP-18 projectors Super-8 projector 2" x 2" slide projectors Video projector Video playback in VHS, 3/4" U-Matic, Beta, Beta-SP, DigiBeta, DVCAM/MiniDV, DVD, and computer VGA /audio output Audio playback from CD or audio cassette
Please note: We strongly suggest that non–US format video, DVD-R discs, and videos embedded in computer presentations be tested in advance.
