Mershon Auditorium

Mershon Auditorium is a premier venue for dance, music, theater, lectures, multimedia presentations, and more.

Built in 1957 and operated by the Wexner Center for the Arts since 1989, Mershon has a seating capacity of nearly 2,500 on the main floor and in the balcony. Wheelchair-accessible seating is available. An orchestra pit, located off the front of the stage, accommodates 100 chairs. Precise acoustics, spacious seating, complete back-of-house facilities, and professional staff are just a few of the highlights of Mershon. The auditorium's excellent sightlines make any seat the best in the house.

The stage at Mershon can also be transformed into a black box space, creating a more intimate and flexible setting, with both audience and performers on stage.

In addition to hosting Wexner Center performances and numerous Ohio State University activities, Mershon Auditorium welcomes large-scale concerts and events presented by varied area promoters and organizations, including Columbus Arena Sports & Entertainment (CASE).

The lobby of Mershon Auditorium is used for receptions and similar gatherings. Dinners, luncheons, and meetings are also sometimes held on the Mershon stage.
