"No words are uttered in Snowflake...but the sounds of joy are immense."—Richmond Times-Dispatch

Recommended for grades K-8. In Snowflake, without a single word, Gale LaJoye teaches children to turn sorrow into joy. Using the magic of illusion, he floats in mid-air, breathes life into toys, creates imaginative music, and dances The Nutcracker on skis.

Drawing on experience in theater, in the Japanese art of Kabuki, and in the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus (as a clown), American performer Gale LaJoye creates complex, compelling characters who face genuine adversity with humor and hope. In this funny and poignant play about an ingenious homeless man, LaJoye lives up to his international reputation as a unique and inspiring entertainer.
