Learn a popular new do-it-yourself art form called “circuit-bending” in this two-part workshop taught by Beatrix*Jar, a Minnesota-based music duo.

Using metaphors and experimental techniques common to the arts and sciences, the workshop enables anyone to take part in the discovery of hidden sounds in battery-powered electronic toys recycled from thrift stores, garage sales, or your own basement. You’ll be able to see the techniques in action and practice teaching your new skills at a public workshop with Beatrix*Jar the next weekend (Sat, Apr 5).

Advance registration is required. To register, contact the education department at (614) 292-6493 or e-mail edweb@wexarts.org.
