This bouncy musical stars Rita Hayworth as a chorus girl who gets her chance at fame as a high-priced model. Costar Gene Kelly, on loan to Columbia Pictures from MGM, choreographed most of the film’s dance scenes, including the famous “Alter-Ego Dance.” Columbia’s first musical in Technicolor, Cover Girl also marked the first film collaboration between Jerome Kern and Ira Gershwin, including standards such as “Long Ago (and Far Away).” (107 mins., 4K DCP)
