The Wexner Center brings the big screen outside for Wex Drive-In, our annual series of free, festive, open-air film screenings on the Wexner Center Plaza at 15th Avenue and High Street. All Wex Drive-In movies start at dusk (generally around 9 PM), but you’re invited to come at 8 PM to choose your spot. Pack up a few blankets or lawn chairs, and get ready to enjoy beer from Seventh Son Brewing and wine from our cash bar, pizza from Mikey’s Late Night Slice, plus Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams (with a free scoop for members) and free Pam’s Market Popcorn.
Most of us won't be sunning on the Amalfi coast or dining near the Trevi Fountain this summer, but this series helps you imagine a splendid Italian holiday. Made by Italian filmmakers and/or filmed in Italy, the selection of classics and new releases features such outstanding directors as Fellini, Visconti, and De Sica and spectacular scenery from Rome, Venice, and the Italian countryside.

Ticket Package
Save when you buy 10 tickets to use at any indoorCinema italianoscreening.
$60 general public
$40 members, students, and senior citizens
Nominated for five Academy Awards The Talented Mr. Ripley was filmed against the backdrop of landmarks in Venice and Rome.
Matt Damon stars as Tom Ripley, a young man hired to travel to Italy and retrieve a wealthy man’s rambling son, Dickie Greenleaf, played by Jude Law. This simple task is quickly complicated as Ripley’s interactions with Greenleaf and his friends fuel a growing resentment among them. When Ripley commits an unpardonable crime, the ensuing chain of events forces him into a tangled world of identity theft and murder. The stellar cast also includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Based on a 1955 novel by Patricia Highsmith (Strangers on a Train). (139 mins., 35mm)
In the event of rain, the Wex Drive-In will be postponed til the next day (Friday). If it's still raining, the film will screen in the Film/Video Theater at 9 PM (without accompanying refreshments).
