Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum Grand Opening Festival of Cartoon Art

The Wexner Center is helping our neighbor, Ohio State’s Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum, celebrate its move to a wonderful new, expanded facility in Sullivant Hall. The weekend festival includes an academic conference, programs with cartoonists including Jeff Smith, Paul Pope, Jaime & Gilbert Hernandez, Stephan Pastis, and Kazu Kibuishi, tours of their new spaces, and more! Kazu Kibuishi is the creator of the New York Times bestselling ongoing graphic novel series Amulet. In 2004 he began creating and editing the eight-volume comic anthology Flight, published by Image and Ballantine Books. His Eisner-nominated webcomic Copper began in 2002 and was collected in print in 2010. Kibuishi’s work as a book designer includes the upcoming Harry Potter novels for Scholastic.
