Sunset Song

The headline from Vogue's review of Sunset Song doesn't lie (for real: look at that image up there).

We've been counting the days since we booked Sunset Song–we're big Terence Davies (Distant Voices, Still Lives, The House of Mirth) fans here–and his latest didn't let us down. It's a lyrical and gorgeous adaptation of the classic 1932 Lewis Grassic Gibbon novel boasting two stunning performances from Agyness Deyn and Peter Mullan along with its exquisite cinematography and direction.

But don't take our word for it because it's been earning effusive praise from critics the world over. Here's just a sampling:

“Terence Davies hits a new high note with the gorgeous Sunset Song. Every new Terence Davies film feels like a miracle.”–IndieWire

IndieWire also praised Deyn for giving "a performance for the ages."

“In Sunset Song, Terence Davies renders a young woman’s loves and strife with grandeur and austerity."–Film Comment (as part of an extensive cover feature)

"Davies directs the most refined coming-of-age story cinema has seen in recent years."–The Playlist

Like we said: we're excited and we hope you join us for the film's exclusive Columbus screenings this Thursday and Friday. Advance tickets are available.
