Our four-night series paying tribute to Nelson Pereira dos Santos, a titan of international filmmaking, begins Saturday, April 6 with a double feature of two of his most important works: Rio, 100 Degrees F. and How Tasty Was My Little Frenchman (both on 35mm prints). The series includes films from throughout his lengthy and influential career and culminates in a two-night visit and a rare chance to hear from the man himself.
As you can imagine we’re excited about this series so we sat down with Film/Video curator Chris Stults to talk about dos Santos, the series, his work, and our ongoing Via Brasil initiative.
Get tickets and see the complete schedule for the series here.
