Playlist: Counterfeit Madison

One of the things we love about local Next@Wex artist Counterfeit Madison is the fantastic range of influences she brings to her singular sound. To get everyone in the spirit for her vinyl release party at the Wex on November 21, we asked Counterfeit, aka Sharon Udoh, to make a Spotify playlist with some of her favorite artists and songs. The list runs the gamut from Prince and Mary J. Blige to Steely Dan and David Bowie, to a sublime waltz by Frédéric Chopin. "This is just filled with songs that I have enjoyed for the past few decades," she says. "Any of these songs will most likely instantly get me in a great mood." Hope they do the same for you.
