Community Studios Pop-Up

All are welcome to join us for a festive, family friendly art-making studio created in collaboration with the Fran Ryan Center and local artist educators.

Exercise your world-building skills by making miniature buildings in an informal, open-house setting where you can explore and work at your own pace with experienced artists and educators from the community available to support you.

Choose from a variety of free supplies; relax and enjoy free snacks and coffee; and connect with your family, friends, and neighbors. Get inspired by visiting our friends at the Columbus Metro Railway Society and watch their model trains run through various miniature landscapes!

You can also watch a clay demo or join in printmaking with local artists. While you’re there, check out the Golden Hobby Gift Shop to find affordable, locally made crafts by senior artists.

The Fran Ryan Center, located at 865 E. Capital St., Columbus, OH 43205, is a creative arts and wellness hub operated by the City of Columbus Recreation and Parks. RSVP by calling (614) 724-2550 or emailing FRC@columbus.gov.

Visit the Wexner Center on December 4, for more opportunities to create art as part of our free First Thursdays program. Look for another Community Studios Pop-Up on Sunday, December 8, at the Cultural Arts Center in downtown Columbus.
