High school teachers, don’t wait to sign up for the next edition of Pages, the Wexner Center’s innovative multidisciplinary program that supports literacy and writing skills through the exploration of contemporary art.

This free, yearlong program pairs Wex educators and artists with teachers from across central Ohio to create writing-based, experiential learning opportunities for students grades 9–12. Pages students visit the center to experience an exhibition, performance, and film and respond to those encounters in journal entries, prose, poetry, and art—with opportunities to publish their work as well as participate in an open mic reading at the Wex.

The Pages curriculum fully engages and supports core state and national education standards, and bus subsidies are provided for all three trips to the Wex. Visit wexpagesonline.edublogs.org to see the program in action or view the most recent Pages anthology, a beautiful compilation of our participants’ writing and visual art.

Applications for the 2020–21 school year are due by April 10, 2020. Interested applicants also have the option of previewing the program while receiving professional development credit. For more information on Pages or the application process, contact Wexner Center educator Dionne Custer Edwards at dcusteredwards@wexarts.org or (614) 292-7008.
