Director of Marketing Content
Erik has been with the Wexner Center since 2003 and is Director of Marketing Content. He leads the creative content team, which oversees press, social media, and advertising strategy. While at the Wex, Erik has served as a lead public relations manager and spokesperson, securing hundreds of stories in press outlets around the world, including Artforum, New York Times, Art in America, and The News Hour with Jim Lehrer.
He helped build the Wex’s social media presence and was a leading creative voice in largescale storytelling surrounding the center’s reopening after a major renovation, the center’s 25th anniversary celebrations, and other institutional milestones. He spent two years with Ohio State’s College of Arts and Sciences’s Marketing and Communications unit where he established a communications program for Urban Arts Space and served as a marketing and PR manager and writer. Before joining the Wex, Erik wrote for Sponic Zine and coproduced/cohosted the nationally syndicated online radio show Citizen Arcane, on the experimental online presentation platform Nibblebox.
Erik has a BA in American studies and minor in journalism from Bowling Green State University and an MA in film studies from Ohio University.
