"An outspoken and...funny portrait."--PREMIERE MAGAZINE

Set primarily during the tumultuous 2004 presidential election campaign, Al Franken: God Spoke offers a behind-the-scenes portrait of the former Saturday Night Live player turned political figure. The documentary follows Franken as he inaugurates his radio show on Air America and trades barbs with the likes of Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly and also offers a rare glimpse of the satirist's private life. Directors Hegedus and Doob introduce the film, which reunites Hegedus with executive producer D. A. Pennebaker--the team that created The War Room. (90 mins., 35mm)
