Werner Herzog received special permission from the French government to film inside of Chauvet Cave in southern France, site of the oldest known images created by humans. Once a skeptic of 3D filmmaking, Herzog believed that only the 3D effect would give the viewer a satisfactory experience with the fragile cave paintings. (89 mins., 3D DCP)
