4K RESTORATION

(King Hu, 1967)

Dragon Inn

An inspiration to films such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Kill Bill, King Hu’s Dragon Inn transformed the Chinese wuxia (martial arts) genre with its highly entertaining and rigorously composed fight sequences. In it, the exiled children of an executed minister gather at Dragon Gate Inn, where their father’s rival plans to finish them off. Little do they know that sword-wielding warriors charged with protecting the banished children are on their way. Gloriously restored from the original camera negative! (111 mins., 4K DCP)
