Duet for Cannibals

(Duett för kannibaler, Susan Sontag, 1969)

Duet for Cannibals

The first film directed by iconic author, critic, and intellectual Susan Sontag, Duet for Cannibals follows the surreal and multidimensional relationship that unfolds between a German intellectual, his sophisticated wife, their Swedish secretary, and the earnest secretary’s bride-to-be. A logical extension of Sontag’s film criticism, the drama defies literal-minded interpretation. (105 mins., 2K DCP)
