Join us for a preholiday, family-friendly screening of visionary director Wes Anderson’s first animated feature.
Anderson (The Royal Tenenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom) utilizes classic handmade stop-motion techniques to adapt a classic children’s book by Roald Dahl (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach). Mr. Fox has a happy home life with his wife, son, and their visiting nephew. But this quiet existence proves to be too much for him, and he slips back into his old ways as a clever chicken thief. In doing so, he endangers not just himself but the whole animal community, who must band together to save Mr. Fox from the clutches of the neighboring farmers. The delightfully inventive film features an all-star cast of voice actors including George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Willem Dafoe, and Owen Wilson. (87 mins., DCP)

Faculty, students, and staff are invited to attend Ohio State’s Thanksgiving Dinner on November 26 at noon in the Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom in the Ohio Union. An annual event, Thanksgiving Dinner brings together students, faculty, and staff unable to return home for the long holiday weekend. The event is free to attend but all guests must have a ticket to enter. More information is available at the Office of International Affairs.
