Have You Seen My Movie?

(Paul Anton Smith, 2016)

Still from Have You Seen My Movie?

Comprised entirely of found footage, Paul Anton Smith’s Have You Seen My Movie? is a delirious homage to our shared experience of going to the cinema. Assistant editor on Christian Marclay’s The Clock (a found-footage masterpiece presented at the Wex in 2013), Smith uses scenes from over a thousand movies—both instantly recognizable and obscure, and spanning 80 years of filmmaking—to hold up a mirror to the magic and mystery of our collective imaginations. (136 mins., DCP)
