Oscar-winning animator and prolific historian John Canemaker discusses the impact and legacy of Winsor McCay’s creation Little Nemo, a landmark in the development of both comic strip and animation art. Author of the definitive study of McCay’s life and work, Canemaker will focus on his visual style as realized in his animated films. This talk is presented in conjunction with CXC and the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum’s exhibition Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream, on view through October 23.
