(Jonas qui aura 25 ans en l'an 2000, Alain Tanner, 1976)

Two people sit at a table eating

Jonah Who Will be 25 in the Year 2000 follows a disparate group of nonconformists and radicals from Geneva who gather at a rural retreat to reflect on the aftermath of May 1968 and what the future might hold in the wake of those cultural uprisings. Widely considered to be Tanner’s masterpiece, the work was cowritten by acclaimed critic, poet, and painter John Berger. (116 mins., 35mm)
