Since 2018, Mad Royal has put on a free-to-submit, free-to-watch short film festival for student filmmakers at The Ohio State University, and we're thrilled to host them in-person this year!
Each year 90 minutes of shorts are selected and shared with the Ohio State community in a moment to connect and converse about the films and artists. This year, the festival moves from the pandemic-necessitated online space and back in person.
The Mad Royal Film Festival Awards are judged by staff and alumni from the College of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts at Ohio State. They select awards for a wide variety of categories based on the submissions from this year’s entries. Winners will receive a special prize made by members of the Mad Royal E-Board.
