Move Me

(Kelsey Peterson and Daniel Klein, 2022)

ReelAbilities Film Festival Columbus

Columbus Premiere

A white woman, shot from above, lies on a grey floor with her blonde hair spilling out around her.

Presented in partnership with Art Possible Ohio, this powerful documentary follows a dancer as she rediscovers herself after sustaining a spinal cord injury.

When dancer Kelsey Peterson was 27 years old, she dove into Lake Superior and emerged paralyzed. Now a filmmaker, she tells her own story through Move Me, which chronicles her journey adapting to life with a disability. When faced with the opportunity to dance again, Peterson works to redefine her identity and find hope and acceptance. (81 mins., DCP)
