“Possibly the most exciting documentary for fans of edgier modern dance since Pina.”—Variety
Batsheva Dance Company Artistic Director Ohad Naharin is regarded as one of the world’s most important choreographers (and indeed Batsheva’s performances at the Wex have been firm audience favorites). Finding him at a turning point in his personal life, this spirited and insightful documentary reveals Naharin’s extraordinary vision through intimate rehearsal footage, unseen archival documents, and breathtaking dance sequences. (100 mins., DCP)
Brothers Barak and Tomer Heymann are among Israel’s most significant documentary filmmakers. Stay after the screening—part of this year’s Columbus Jewish Film Festival—for a conversation with Barak (producer of this film) that’s moderated by BalletMet Artistic Director Edwaard Liang.
Parking note: Please allow extra time for parking before tonight’s screening due to multiple events in the area. Special event parking ($5 cash only) is available in the Ohio Union Garages. Visitor parking in nearby Arps Garage is available after 4 pm.
