A young book-loving boy, Bastian, disregards a warning about reading a book called The Neverending Story and finds himself so absorbed in the story that he begins to affect the events of the book. In the story, a boy warrior, Atreyu, befriends a flying dragon during his quest to save the kingdom of Fantasia from an evil force called the Nothing. Filled with colorful characters, magical creatures, and fantastic special effects, the film is an ode to the power of books and the force of children’s imaginations. (94 mins., 35mm) 

Rated PG, recommended for ages eight and up. Content advisory: children embark on a perilous adventure; combat depicted; bullying; injury to an animal.
