Unfolding over the course of five consecutive days, this durational self-portrait by Iranian artist Pouran Esrafily contemplates everyday cycles of nourishment and creativity. Though her rituals of drawing and eating often seem banal, the film reveals subtle changes in attitude, emotion, or circumstances that make each action and encounter remarkable in its own way. The video was made during a residency in the center’s Film/Video Studio. (77 mins., video)
