A documentary from Colombia about a shockingly contradictory figure, a fear-inspiring drug dealer seen by some as a contemporary Robin Hood. From Colombia, The Private Archives of Pablo Escobar is a documentary portrait of the drug-dealer considered by many Colombians to have been a modern-day Robin Hood. Escobar donated millions to the poor yet was also a ruthless criminal involved in political assassinations that changed the course of the nation's history. Culled from over 600 hours of never-before-seen footage given to the filmmaker by Escobar's family, the film offers an intimate portrait of a shockingly contradictory figure, a hero to many but the most fear-inspiring drug dealer of his time.
