The largely wordless classic children's short The Red Balloon tells the touching tale of a lonely boy befriended by a big red balloon.

This free screening is presented in association with Member Appreciation Days. Tickets must be picked up on the day of the screening. Playing on children's fantasies about toys (and their deep fears of losing them!), this Cannes Film Festival grand prize winner has struck a deep chord with the very young for decades. (34 mins.)

Screening immediately after The Red Balloon is Bim the Little Donkey, a lesser-known film by its director. (30 mins.)

Recommended for ages 4 and up.

Please Note: If you would like to discuss the specifics of any film before viewing it with your child, please call Shelly Casto, director of education, at (614) 688-3986.
