Still from Mamba

The lurid melodrama The Sin of Nora Moran follows a hard-luck circus performer who finds herself falsely condemned to die in the electric chair after becoming the mistress of a rising politician. Ranked by many among the best B movies of the 1930s. (65 mins., DCP) Preceded by the animated short Balloon Land. (7 mins., DCP)

The early sound-era, two-strip Technicolor feature Mamba stars Jean Hersholt as a brutal plantation owner in German East Africa who violently mistreats his workers and abuses the local women. He brings in a fallen countess from the old country as his bride, only to see her terrorized by the conditions of her new home. (78 mins., DCP) Preceded by the musical short Me and the Boys. (9 mins., DCP)
