D. B. Griffith's Art of Weightlessness documents performance artist/skater Bill Shannon, whose gravity-defying style came about due to his degenerative hip disorder. (2000; 11 mins.)
Rounding out the program is Coan Nichols and Rick Charnoski's Fruit of the Vine, a fascinating collection of stories about suburban skaters who search, find, and ultimately make use of a piece of the great American wasteland: backyard pools. (1999; 53 mins.)
