Renowned cartoonist Chris Ware explores his new art book Monograph (Rizzoli USA) and his continuing work in long-form serials, which have been collected into some of the most admired works in recent comics history—including The Acme Novelty Library (1993–present) and Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth (2000), among others.
Moderated by Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum Associate Curator Caitlin McGurk, the talk is part of this year’s CXC and the museum’s 40th anniversary. After the talk, join Ware for a book signing in the Wexner Center Store.
Cosponsored by Cartoon Crossroads Columbus.
Participating organizations in this year’s Cartoon Crossroads Columbus include Ohio State’s Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum, Columbus College of Art & Design, Columbus Museum of Art, and Columbus Metropolitan Library.
