Presented in collaboration with Cinéseries
Discussion follows screening

A row of three stills from films in this series. The word “CINESERIES” appears in white font against a black bar running horizontally under the stills.

Consider what it means to nurture—whether it be gardens, gossip, or solidarity—in this free program of short films curated by Cinéseries group member Natasha Woods.

Spanning from the 1970s through today, these works reflect on how we might find new ways to tend to our world and hold ourselves—and each other—a little closer. Each short engages in active questioning of belonging both in front of and behind the camera. Stay after the screening for an informal, open-to-all discussion in the café led by the Ohio State student group.

Please note: some films contain strobe-like effects.

More about Cinéseries

In the words of Cinéseries’ members: Cinéseries is a student-led group that organizes monthly screenings in collaboration with the Wexner Center for the Arts. We aim to offer a space for students and the community to engage with film and expanded cinema from makers of a variety of backgrounds. We aspire to create an environment conducive to critical engagement by inviting filmmakers to showcase work that takes risks, challenges norms, and opens a conversation by devoting to a wide range of artist-centered and independent media.
