Mark Spurgeon

Mark Spurgeon serves as the Director of Visitor Experience at the Wexner Center for the Arts. He recently returned to the Wex previously serving as the Membership Manager from 2015–2016, and in manager positions in Visitor Experience from 2001–2014. Recently, Mark was the Senior Manager of Experiential Programs with Equitas Health, one of the largest LGBTQ serving healthcare organizations in the country, dedicated to health equity for LGBTQ+ persons, communities of color, and minoritized populations. Mark has 25 years’ experience in membership, visitor experience, community engagement, special events and exhibition installation, including work as a consultant to Gund Gallery at Kenyon College and the Ohio Art League on membership programs and audience-building strategies. In his free time, Mark is a performing musician, multimedia artist/painter, and an avid cyclist and runner.
